The gang had lots to cover on this special post-Super Tuesday edition of the podcast. With Joe Biden turning his campaign around in a matter of days, the prospects for Bernie Sanders's revolution are looking dim. Harison believes it is time for the Bernie Bros to think about the appropriate means of resisting the party establishment. Since when do revolutions play by the rules? To Matt, this stance is indicative of the outlook many of Trump's fiercest supporters have. There was another contender in the race when the dust settled Wednesday morning, but Elizabeth Warren's campaign was not long for this world. She was pregnant with defeat for a long time—and once she started showing, she quit. Regarding Chuck Schumer's threats to Supreme Court justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, Goldfarb is offended by Schumer's poor grammar. But whatever "release the whirlwind" means, it's clear Schumer is better off if Biden is the nominee, even if he's currently falling victim to self-inflicted controversies. Free Beacon legal correspondent Victorino Matus chimes in with an update on Harvey Weinstein's incarceration, and he also brings up the exciting moment when dairy protesters rushed the stage at Biden's Tuesday victory speech. We didn't learn much about cows, but Biden adviser Symone Sanders certainly impressed us all with how quickly she flew into action. Continuing the new Free Beacon Advice segment, Harison explained how to profit off and enjoy the chaos and carnage sure to ensue at the Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee. The Bernie Bros will likely be out for blood, and locals would be wise to heed Harison's counsel.

In the wake of the last Democratic debate before South Carolina and Super Tuesday, the gang examines what challenges may or may not be left for Bernie Sanders on the path to the nomination. Matt argues there's an opening for Biden if he pairs a South Carolina win with an impressive performance on Super Tuesday. However, the debate did not seem to change much about the race. In fact, Matt argues, it may be that no debates actually matter, except for the ones where a candidate totally self-destructs. Meanwhile, Bloomberg continues to lap the field in total spending, sticking his face on everything from the debate commercial breaks to Axios's newsletters. The media have given him near-constant attention since he started his ad blitz, which appears to be exactly the kind of special treatment that paved the way for a certain Donald J. Trump to win the Republican primary in 2016. This comes, of course, after the media worried incessantly about how to learn from the so-called tragedy of Trump's rise. Goldfarb has a touching reason why we should not be surprised or upset: "Take the media and love them for who they are because they can't change." Looking across the Pacific to discern what danger the coronavirus actually presents, the gang wonders what government official would actually tell people to panic. The eventual answer shows that there's always another opponent of the Trump administration inside the Trump administration. Free Beacon legal correspondent Victorino Matus comes in with updates on Harvey Weinstein and Michael Avenatti, who have both been convicted in New York but face more legal trouble out in California. With President Donald Trump acquitted in the Senate impeachment trial, Harison takes aim at Utah senator Mitt Romney for being the lone vote to impeach on the Republican side. Rank speculation ensues about everything from Mitt's motives to his genealogy. Do we know who his great-great-great grandfather is? Maybe not, but that is what Reddit is for. But the Senate acquittal isn't the only massive win for Trump this week. Arguably the best news of 2020 is the increasing certainty with which the libs are demonstrating their unfitness to govern. Iowa is the latest and greatest example, as the Democratic Party failed to figure out... well, anything, since the night ended with absolutely zero data on any of the candidates' results. Harison argues the Bernie Bros should be even more angry when it's the party's own operations that are blocking their favorite socialist's ability to get a major boost from positive results in the Hawkeye state. Biden's struggles, Matt argues, are linked to the impeachment proceeding that reflected so poorly on the former vice president and his son Hunter. In that regard, Pelosi may have harmed Biden's attempt to bring a third Obama term. However, Pelosi's main play this week was at the State of the Union, where she ripped up Trump's speech in front of cameras. Just another example of the dearth of class and dignity in today's Democratic Party.... The good news is it was the best State of the Union address ever, according to Harison, with enough made-for-TV drama to beat even George W. Bush's "Axis of Evil" speech in 2002. Oh, and the one where he talked about steroids in baseball. It took me years to adopt Twitter, which I did under duress and to my unending regret. I do not play games on my phone, or really do anything on my phone other than email, text, and make calls. I want to restrain and even break up the tech giants, not for economic reasons so much as for political ones. They are growing too concentrated and too powerful. Such amalgamations trigger my populist-republican sensibilities.
